Admission and Registration

Admission and Registration Policy

Cheyenne Mountain School District 12 Preschool

Registration and enrollment is available through Cañon School.  Children must be toilet trained by the first day of preschool.  Families may contact the office staff at Cañon School to place their child on a wait list anytime throughout the school year.  During yearly enrollment, families are contacted for registration according to how many preschool slots are available.  If a student leaves the program, the next child on the wait list is contacted and given the opportunity to enroll.  Once a family is contacted for enrollment, they have three days to confirm or decline the enrollment. If the parent does not contact the Cañon School office within this time frame, the next family on the wait list will be contacted.

Children with developmental needs may be eligible for enrollment and services upon turning three years of age through the Child Find process.  For these children, enrollment may occur throughout the school year.
